Job Description
Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO).
5 hours per week, flexible working (some evening meetings required). Salary in line with NALC/SLCC pay scales, depending on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare agendas, record minutes, and implement decisions of the Council.
Manage all correspondence, records, and statutory documents ensuring transparency requirements are met.
Act as the Council’s Responsible Financial Officer, maintaining accounts, preparing budgets, monitoring expenditure, and arranging for audits.
Provide advice and support to councillors to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and good governance.
Liaise with residents, local authorities, and contractors on behalf of the Council.
Skills Required
Excellent administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
Confident using email, Office software, and online financial tools such as Scribe.
CILCA qualified or other relevant experience.
Experience in financial management/bookkeeping is an advantage.
